The Poetry of
Jack Scott

Guilty as Charged

Surrounded by If-lives
I surrender to reluctant posse,
one deputy at a time.
Take me to your jail,
from solitary confinement
of my freedom.
I am cold and lonely
outside the loveless ostracism
of your law.
